You will learn more about a person by how they behave, than what they have to say. There are people who criticize and belittle others, as if they are better. In reality these people are likely not happy with themselves and seek to piss on someone else in a loser attempt to feel superior.

Unfortunately, many of these people claim to be church going Christians. They seem to have forgotten their bible studies. I don't recall ever hearing that Jesus traveled to meet with the poor and sickly, to teach them how useless they are or so he could rub their faces in their failures and remind them they should have been more like him. I always heard that Jesus helped and healed. He also called out hypocrisy where he saw it, which was a big reason why those in power wanted him silenced.

If you want to improve your life in any way, find what your method of prayer or meditation is, and clear your mind of negativity. Then think about what you can change in your current daily life, that will lead you toward a more positive outcome. You will open yourself up to divine guidance.

Do not discuss your troubles or your ideas with people who might act like they have it together, but really don't when you look at their life as an example. In fact, you may want to avoid these people altogether as it is more difficult to achieve a positive outcome in negative surroundings.
